GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
JD-36 catalyst is a highly efficient amine blowing catalyst used in the production of various types of polyurethane foam. Its catalytic effect is more specific to the water-isocyanate blowing reaction. Therefore, its unique structure has made it the catalyst of choice in flexible and rigid polyurethane systems where a smooth blowing profile is required. Due to its reactive hydroxyl group, JD-36 catalyst readily reacts into the urethane network. As a result, it provides the added benefit of low residual odour and is especially useful where a non-migrating amine is required.

Potential applications for JD-36 catalyst include flexible slabstock, packaging foam, automotive instrument panels and other areas where a catalyst providing low residual odour or non-migrating performance is required.
The usage levels of JD-36 catalyst are dependent on the requirements of the particular
application. When producing flexible polyether slabstock or moulded foams, it is recommended that JD-36 catalyst be used in conjunction with a strong gelling catalyst such as JD 33-LV
